Shyness and Kindness as Defensive Strategies
acrylic on canvas
dyptic cm 150 x 100 each
Shyness and Kindness as Defensive Strategies is a work inspired by the crown shyness, or the phenomenon whereby - in some species - the branches of neighboring trees do not touch. This brings with it a number of practical advantages, such as avoiding the breaking of the branches between them when there is wind or reducing the passage of parasites from one plant to another.
In the woods, looking up, you can see real paths of sky between the foliage of the plants, indicating this phenomenon: a practice of kindness that is also desirable among human beings.
